Switzerland all inclusive tour package 2023

Join us as we relax in the high alps outside of Geneva, Switzerland in July! We’ll stay in a magnificent gingerbread chalet with beautiful mountain vistas, and enjoy meals provided by a private chef. We’ll hike beautiful alpine meadows and explore surrounding villages by train. We’ll arrive Geneva late morning Saturday. From there we’ll board the excellent Swiss train system for a short 2.5-hour ride along the edge of Lake Geneva and up into the high Alps. The chalet is located in the beautiful alpine village of Chateau D’Oex, on the train line from Geneva. Then for the next 7 days we’ll hike, eat together, and explore the surrounding villages in the area. We’ll have a variety of things to do each day which you can either choose to participate in or not.

Our all-inclusive means that everything – yes everything – is included. Just bring tip money and money for souvenirs.

F.A.Q

Is a passport required for U.S. citizens to travel to Switzerland?

Yes, all U.S. citizens are required to provide a current passport.

What is the currency used in Switzerland?

The official currency of Switzerland is the Euro.

As a general rule, we recommend getting cash from an ATM once we've landed in Geneva. All restaurants and shops accept credit cards.

Is tipping expected?

Like most of Europe, tipping is not required and is not usually expected. It is however highly appreciated. This may be one way for us to give back to the local community.

As a tourist, if you do wish to tip, 10% is a standard tip for good service.

Switzerland travel restrictions and requirements

In order to ensure a smooth trip, you should follow their guidance on requirements and restrictions. You must have your passport and proof that you will leave before your visa or entry stamp runs out. A return flight ticket is the best method of proving this.

Your Costa Rica travel agency can highlight any extra requirements you may need to take into consideration.

What are the electrical outlets in Switzerland?

The electrical outlets in Switzerland are typically the same as those used throughout Europe and the EU. If you are using a converter, ensure there are 2 round prongs. This should mean you can charge and use electrical appliances when needed.

Switzerland language

Switzerland has three official languages - French, German, and Italian. We will be spending most of our time in the French speaking part of the country.

A lot of phones are now equipped with translation apps or websites that can help as well.

Switzerland health pass requirements

As with all of Europe all COVID vaccination requirements have been lifted. You do not need to show a vaccination card nor a negative test.

Travel to Switzerland from US

If you are traveling from the US, there is a restriction on how much cash you can carry when you enter and leave the country. At both points, you should have no more than 10,000 US dollars on your person.

Switzerland weather

In late July and early August the temperature in and around Chateau D'Oex will be a high of 70 and a low of 60 at night.

What is Switzerland time zone?

Switzerland is six hours ahead of US Eastern Time Zone.

Reviews

What an amazing trip to Switzerland. I took the more adventurous route and did some hiking into the Alps themselves. That may have been a mistake LOL. Made some lifelong friends. Thanks for putting this trip together guys.
