2 day Beach Getaway Pre-Trip & Optional Excursions

For those who just can’t wait to start the fun, we’ll be offering a two-night pre-stay at an Art Deco hotel on South Beach, across from Lummus Park and the beach.
During our stay we’ll be offering optional excursions after the second day of relaxing. Each of these are priced at $150 per person but include all transportation, food, and beverages. Registration for these excursions will become available 5 weeks prior to departure.

Nine Mile (Bob Marley Childhood Home and Tomb)

After touring the coast, we will go into the mountains to reach the picturesque village of Nine Mile, located in the beautiful parish of St. Ann. This is where Bob Marley was born and where his remains are entombed. You can visit the House where the legendary King of Reggae grew up, while a guide explains the most important milestones of his life and musical career. On the way back we’ll stop at a local watering hole to take in the Jamaica hospitality.

Dunn’s River Falls and Mystic Mountain Zip Line
  • No one should miss the chance to visit one of the most famous attractions in Jamaica, Dunn’s River Waterfalls. On this trip you will have the opportunity to explore this amazing display of nature. We’ll have a chance to climb 600 ft of this spectacular limestone formation and relax in the picturesque pool at its base.
  • Mystic Mountain Rainforest Adventures, one of the most famous attractions in Ocho Rios, offers an exciting zip line adventure. Swing through the beautiful tropical rainforest and slide from one platform to another, while taking in the breathtaking views of the Dunn’s River waterfalls.
Luminous Lagoon
Luminous Lagoon is the single best place to observe and study microorganisms called dinoflagellates, which thrive in the layers where salt and fresh water combine and glow the brightest in shallow, warm water. There are only three such places in the entire world, and we’ll have the opportunity to experience it. At night tour boats take visitors on a ride around the lagoon. Drag your hand in the water and see the trail of light. The highlight of the  tour is when we jump out and swim, your body surrounded by the luminous green glow. And when you’re back on land, recount the magic with your friends over some fine Jamaican fare and a cocktail at the Glistening Waters Restaurant.
Diving and snorkeling trip
We’ll hire a catamaran for a day of diving and snorkeling at a nearby reef
Night Out on the Town
One night we’ll make reservations at our favorite Jamaican restaurant, overlooking the moonlit waters. After dinner we’ll head to Senior Frog’s or another well-known club for drinks and dancing.
